Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez will put his own Rapide up for auction at the Bonhams yearly sale of Aston Martin and Lagonda cars and automobilia on May 21. All proceeds from the sale of Bez's car will go to aid victims of the recent earthquakes and tsunami in Japan. "Nobody could have failed to be moved by the recent events in Japan," Bez said.

Lexus ISF: the lowdown
We’ve seen the ISF before, but it’s here again in Frankfurt ahead of its arrival in the UK in March 2008. Don’t think of this 400bhp 5.0 V8 as an M3 rival, officials warn. ‘It will be more refined and comfortable, rather than out and out sporty,’ said one.
Toyota will resume construction on its mothballed plant in Mississippi and begin producing the Corolla there late next year. “We first needed to fully utilize our existing facilities as the economy slowed,” Yoshimi Inaba, president of Toyota Motor North America, said in a statement Thursday. “Now it's time to fulfill Toyota's promise in Mississippi.”
The automaker said it will hire 2,000 workers “soon.”
Corolla output would mark another shift for the project.
